Xperia 1 VIII

This video introduces the design of the Xperia 1 VIII

It opens on the animated XPERIA 1 VIII logo, which fades to hover over a highly-textured black rock, sitting in a space, with black dust spread around the surface. An ambient synthetic drone sound plays in the background.

The rock splits cleanly into two halves, which slide apart. We cut between close-up shots of two black Xperia 1 VIIIs floating in space, highlighting the shutter button, camera bump, and textures, and the rocks. The rock splits into tiles, which expand apart, with an Xperia floating in front of them.

One of the Xperia  1 VIIIs spins through a white room, and the rock halves shift apart further, before we cut to a close-up shot of a finger running down the subtly-textured edge of the Xperia.

The four colour options—Graphite Black, Iolite Silver, Deep Garnet, and Shimmering Gold—form a stack on top of the black rock, then fan upwards in landscape orientation, and the shot transitions to hands holding the device to capture an image, with comfortable space for two-handed, stable and comfortable shooting.

A camera flash fires to transition to the four Xperia floating towards the viewer, then a shot of the white room, with circular openings, referring to the new rear three-camera array, in the wall through which the black rock and dust fill over.

A montage of shots of the four coloured devices highlights the 3.5mm audio jack and the prominent, three-lens and ZEISS T* Coating camera array, before they float gently to rest in a line on the textured black rock as it reforms into a single piece.
