Notice of Catalyst series update
Changes are coming to the Catalyst series starting in August 2026.
Before then, read about several changes affecting current Catalyst users.
Changes
- Catalyst Browse (free version) and Catalyst Prepare (paid version) will be integrated into a single application. The new, integrated application will be called Catalyst Prepare.
Basic features of the new Catalyst Prepare will be available at no cost.
Subscribing unlocks more advanced editing features and batch exporting.
- * To avoid confusion with the older version of Catalyst Prepare, the new application will be called Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 on the download page.
- * Older versions of Catalyst Browse / Catalyst Prepare can still be used for a limited time.
- Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 features a significantly updated user interface.
It provides a more convenient user experience tailored to your needs.
- In Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0, different features are available with a subscription. Subscribe, and you can use Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 (paid version), Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Premiere, and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for DaVinci Resolve.
- * Older versions of Catalyst Prepare can still be used for a limited time.

* Older versions of Catalyst Browse can still be used for a limited time.
- Your current subscription will include Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 (paid version), Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Premiere, and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for DaVinci Resolve.
- Features similar to those of Catalyst Prepare are available in the paid version of Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0, which provides a convenient user interface and experience.
* Older versions of Catalyst Prepare can still be used for a limited time.
- Current subscribers can continue or extend their existing Plugin plan. Once canceled, however, these subscriptions cannot be renewed.
- To enjoy a better value that includes the paid version of Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0, subscribe to the new plan after the update.
- Your current subscription will include Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 (paid version), Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Premiere, and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for DaVinci Resolve.
- Current Production Suite subscribers can continue or extend their existing plan. Once canceled, however, these subscriptions cannot be renewed.
* Older versions of Catalyst Prepare can still be used for a limited time.
- Your current Prepare subscription will include Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 (paid version), Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Premiere, and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for DaVinci Resolve. Accordingly, your current Plugin subscription will be discontinued.
* Subscribers whose Catalyst Prepare and Plugin coverage overlaps will be compensated for the overlapping portion. Look out for details by email when the software is updated.
- Your current Production Suite subscription will include Catalyst Prepare Ver. 3.0 (paid version), Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Premiere, and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for DaVinci Resolve. Accordingly, your current Plugin subscription will be discontinued.
* Subscribers whose Catalyst Production Suite and Plugin coverage overlaps will be compensated for the overlapping portion. Look out for details by email when the software is updated.
